Temple Mount, East Quarters of the City and the Rockefeller Museum
We will visit the Temple Mount with you - the place where the Holy of Holies stood: the Jerusalem Temple of the times of King Solomon and Herod the Great. Today it is the third shrine in Islam; It was here that the first center of the Knights Templar was located. We will walk through the entire area of the complex, talk about all the traditions associated with this place (only Muslims are allowed into the mosque).
Then we will go to one of the best churches of the XII century crusaders, Santa Anna, and also visit the archaeological park located on the territory of the monastery, dating back to the period of the 5th - 12th centuries (entry 10 shekels per person). We will walk through the Muslim quarters of the city, visit the Protestant center of Calvary - Gordon's Calvary, visit the Rockefeller Archaeological Museum. The museum exhibits bas-reliefs from the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, wooden decorations from the El Aqsa mosque of the 7th-8th centuries, located on the Temple Mount. Car up to 6 people. Possible from Sunday to Thursday.The Temple Mount is closed during Muslim holidays.
